EOD Field Inspector™ PDF1.3MB

Designed for the rapid visual inspection of suspicious packages, bio and chemical hazards, the OptiScan Field Inspector combines the proven reliability of a fiber optic borescope with the versatility of state-of-the-art video imaging.

This rugged and durable inspection system combines independent fiber optic shafts with high resolution video technology to deliver an inspection system that can be deployed in a minimum of time. The system produces high quality images both for the technician at the point of inspection, and images that can be broadcast to support personnel at a remote location for detailed analysis.

Adaptable to either a flexible optical wand or a rigid swing type fiber optic head, The EOD Field Inspector is the worlds most flexible instrument.
The borescope wand can be immersed in water or fuel so objects hidden in liquids can be thoroughly examined.

Designed for use as a stand-alone borescope, or as a total video package, OptiScan’s EOD Field Inspector™ is totally portable and offers a variety of viewing screens to fit the mission.

The large 6.4 inch video monitor allows the bomb technician to view the contents of sealed packages through a small slit or hole drilled in the package even while wearing a protective mask.
An optional heads-up display defies glare, and magnifies the image to appear as if being displayed on a 60-inch television monitor.
A self-contained lighting system illuminates dark areas to expose suspicious objects, and a fully articulating tungsten armor shielded flexible wand allows the technician to change views at the turn of a knob.

An optional internal video broadcast system brings the combined experience of the entire response team to the technician on-the-spot, and insures the safe handling of very dangerous ordinance no matter how complicated the device.
